⚠️ Official Fine Rules (ICP)
The fine for an expired Emirates ID is AED 20 per day, capped at a maximum of AED 1,000. This cap is strictly enforced by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP).
Emirates ID Fine Rules
The Emirates ID fine is AED 20 per day after expiry, with a maximum total fine of AED 1,000. This is equivalent to 50 days of fines. After the AED 1,000 cap is reached, no additional fines accumulate — but the ID must still be renewed.
Note: some websites incorrectly say there is no cap on Emirates ID fines. The AED 1,000 maximum is confirmed by the official ICP website. ManzilZen applies this cap correctly in all calculations.
When Does Emirates ID Expire?
